THE LOVE CAMPAIGN: ONE YEAR LATER
Last year, Ed & Andy took to the streets of London, uncovering real love stories shared by real people — captured on film by John Armour. Our subjects stretched across the entire spectrum of humanity: all ages, all genders, all races, all sexualities. Yet every story was unified: love is for all, and it can have endless possibilities!
During our time getting to know the couples, we had the opportunity to introduce them to AKT, giving each of them a tube of The Deodorant Balm to take home.
So, one year later… where are they now?
ONE YEAR LATER
Flashforward to a year (and many applications of The Deodorant Balm later)… We reconnected with four of the couples to see how their journeys have unfolded. Here’s where life, love—and AKT—has taken them:
Drew and Rui just marked four incredible years together, and are diving into an exciting new chapter — saving for their first home. A big commitment that feels both exciting and wonderfully grown-up. Since we last saw them, they told us they’ve been loving their AKT products, especially the SC.01 Orange Grove scent, but mainly because of the sleek aesthetic of the packaging.
Georgie and Milo are stronger than ever. Since we last spoke, they’ve been diving into exciting theatre projects and recently made the move across town to the bustling borough of Hackney. They're enjoying exploring their new area, from weekend markets to buzzing coffee spots and canal walks.
They’ve also continued to use AKT. The Deodorant Balm has become a part of their daily rituals—keeping them feeling fresh and confident through every rehearsal, performance, and adventure.
Asier and William just marked their one-year anniversary—and what a whirlwind of adventure it has been. From travelling to France and Denmark together, to singing along to their favourite artists in concert. And here’s a fun twist — Asier is now part of the AKT team!
”London life can feel hectic, brimming with voices urging you to do more, be more,” they shared. “It all feels impossible, it’s great to have someone with whom none of that matters. We are who we are, and when we’re together, that’s enough.”
Cue the choir and ring the wedding bells! Harry and Jacob’s big day is set for September 2025. Since last year, they’ve been staying active, smashing fitness goals, and gearing up for an upcoming queer festival in Berlin — AKT in their carry-on, of course.
The Deodorant Balm has become their go-to, keeping them fresh pre- and post-workout and ready for whatever the day brings. Harry has even joined the AKT cast with an ongoing subscription, his favourite Deodorant Balm arriving like clockwork every few months.
