When it's time for a replacement, simply place it in your home compost.

How long should the sponge last?

The Konjac Sponge is made from the root of the Konjac Plant, with no plastic involved! Your sponge will last between 6-12 weeks before needing a replacement. When it’s time for a new one, simply put The Konjac Sponge into your home compost.

Do I need to clean the sponge?

You shouldn’t need to clean the sponge because you'll be using it every day in the shower. What is important is allowing it to air dry between uses to prevent mould from forming. The Konjac Sponge is infused with activated charcoal, which has antimicrobial properties to help keep your sponge free from bacteria. Hang it up between uses to allow it to dry between uses. And if you wish to sterilise your sponge, we suggest soaking it in warm, soapy water. Please do not use boiling water, as it may damage the sponge – it is a plant, after all!

Can I use the sponge every day?

Absolutely. You can use it morning and night as part of your daily shower routine.

Are Konjac Sponges sustainable?

Yes, Konjac sponges are made from the root of the konjac plant. We are working to eliminate plastic sponges from use in showers, as they release microplastics into our water systems. Konjac sponges naturally decompose, making them an eco-friendly choice.
