FORBES - LOOKING BACKWARDS AND FORWARDS
We hate to brag but would you believe we just keep getting praise?
This time we’re in Forbes AGAIN and AKT is their choice for “Best Deodorant for Men”. We’re blushing! Back in 2020, Forbes named us a “Genius New Invention” and now, three years later, we are snatching the crown for best deodorant. What AKT has been able to achieve is wild to us. While compliments and awards have become part of the narrative for AKT London, it isn’t lost on us just how far we’ve come.
Andy reflected recently, ”It’s sometimes hard to remember where we came from as we can get so caught up in the whirlwind of our new everyday lives.”
Ed thinks back to AKT’s conception, “I can’t believe we used to make the stuff in our kitchen! Did we ever think we’d win so many awards? Be featured in Vogue!? Be the favourite deodorant of some of our celebrity idols? NO WAY! It’s pretty surreal.”
And this all comes at a time where AKT has been making huge leaps forward:
- We hosted our first film premiere
- We are concocting new and exciting projects backstage
- Now we are crowdfunding to take things to the next level
With AKT going from strength to strength we like to look backwards as we move forwards.
Our Cast have been supportive every step of the way. Back to our first kickstarter campaign back in 2018 our peers and customers understood our vision for a better way forward for deodorant. Natural, planet-friendly and most importantly, EFFECTIVE.
Since then we have been able to push boundaries: refusing to include plastic in our packaging (even when those pesky caps were causing us grief!); set good examples for the beauty industry to tackle the climate crisis and continue to save armpits around the world!
We cannot forget our roots but now we get to look forward, past all the accolades and attention, and focus on where AKT can go next. You can help us on that journey.
